Find your Flow: Winter Rest Day Retreat

  • 7960 Niwot Road Longmont, CO, 80503 United States (map)

The true essence of the winter months invites us to turn inward. As the vibrancy of nature slows, we are encouraged to do the same—listening deeply, reducing our pace, and nurturing our bodies and minds in harmony with nature's call to rest. This process helps build our reserves, enhance immunity, and strengthen our roots by connecting us to the divine wisdom that nature offers. This day retreat presents the perfect opportunity to pause, align with the natural rhythms around us, and tap into the flow that supports our health.

Rest is our divine right, yet in today’s fast-paced world, it has become a learned habit. We must consciously practice deep rest to allow our nervous systems to settle. During this day retreat, we will nourish both body and mind with practices that encourage us to slow down, reflect, and heed the call for rest.

We will begin with an opening circle to set intentions for our journey into rest. This will be followed by a gentle flow practice that aligns our movements with our breath, allowing us to connect with our bodies. We will then spend time grounding ourselves through floor work to further settle our minds and bodies.

After a lunch break, we will reconvene for a myofascial unwinding practice, designed to release tension and stress from the physical body. Following this, we will enjoy an Ayurvedic herbal tea and snack tailored to support the winter season.

Finally, we will engage in a restful practice combined with sound therapy, guiding us into a deeper state of stillness and tranquility. Join us for a day of profound rest and nourishment for both body and mind as we embrace the flow of winter.
