Staying Steady in Unsteady Times

November 3, 2024 | Sunday | 9:00-1:00 pm MST

Available In-Studio and Livestream

Getting to know your Nervous System so you can navigate stressors with more peace and ease.

The nervous system is our body’s incredible mechanism for adapting to stressors. The system can maintain a balance between states of fight or flight when there is a real danger or threat to meet and the state of ‘rest and digest’ which can feel like a place of relative calm where we feel safe, social, and engaged. The nervous system can even bring us into a state of shut down when the danger is prolonged or during intense grieving. Many people feel at the mercy of their own nervous system. One minute they feel calm and then a conflict with their partner, the morning rush hour traffic or an upcoming work presentation can suddenly leave them feeling out of control with rage or anxiety.

Explore how understanding your unique nervous system can enhance self-regulation, leading to better adaptability and control in stressful situations.

Engage in movement, journaling, and group work to map your nervous system and develop personalized regulating resources.

Learn and practice tools like breath work, meditation, and somatic exercises to effectively manage stress and respond consciously.

Tuition: $199
